MKO Design Kirkland Lake

Joe Mavrinac Arena: Pencil, enamel, vinyl on Crezon (plywood), started feb.02, completed nov.03 (21 months). Forty hockey players, either born or lived in Kirkland, made it to the NHL(so far). Steve Cox produced this project, gathered the photos, led the sponsorship drive, even helped move plywood around. All I had to do was paint, paint, paint. Larger than life, these 4' x 8' portraits took about 2 weeks each. A lot of these guys have passed on, but some of the ones still around are getting word, and coming back to KL to sign their names.
